Since the beginning of June 2007, the Camp Susque Observatory now sports the largest publicly available telescope in Lycoming County, and the greater Eastern Pennsylvania area.
The Meade RCX400 16” Advanced Ritchey-Chretien telescope is able to bring out color in distant galaxies, large nebula, and display amazing detail on objects in our Solar System.
Now this technology is available to you. Whether you are a camper, taking the astronomy program during the summer, an amateur astronomer joining our Astronomy Club, or a home user accessing our scope over the Internet, we hope that this piece of equipment will help you better appreciate the amazing universe in which we live.
